Secured loans
Secured loans are those loans that are protected by an asset orcollateral of some sort. The item purchased, such as a home or a car, can be used as collateral, and a lien can be placed on such purchases. The finance company or bank will hold the deed or title until the loan has been paid in full, including interest and all applicable fees. Other items such as stocks, bonds, or personal property can be put up to secure a loan as well.
Secured loans are usually the best way to obtain large amounts of money quickly. A lender is not likely to loan a large amount without more than your word that the money will be repaid. Putting your home or other property on the line is a fairly safe guarantee that you will do everything in your power to repay the loan.

BeBook Neo
The BeBook Neo is the latest flagship ebook reader from Endless Ideas, one of the pioneers of the open ebook reader movement who launched the BeBook One two years ago.
BeBook's strength is their community and developer base which aims to make their ebook readers as versatile as possible, embracing the largest amount of ebook formats available today.
The BeBook Neo is no exception, featuring the same list of available formats including PDF, EPUB, MOBI, FB2, TXT, PDB, HTML, CHM, JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF and Adobe DRM'd Epub/Pdf formats.
The great thing which separates the BeBook Neo from the Amazon Kindle for example is the ability to buy an ebook from any ebook store and load it up onto the device, sadly the Kindle can only read ebooks purchased from the Kindle store, and non DRM pdfs.
In terms of look, the BeBook Neo has a nice plastic front which feels solid, and a metal back. It looks a lot smarter than its predecessor the BeBook One.
In terms of functionality, it uses the same 6” 600×800 E Ink Vizplex screen as the BeBook One, which is standard across most ebook readers these days. But the new Sony PRS-650 and Amazon Kindle 3G are now using an improved E Ink Pearl screen which offers better contrast, so this screen is technically inferior.
This is not a massive point as you would be hard pressed to really see much difference in most situations, but suffice to say you are only getting 8 shades of grey instead of 16 with the Kindle and Sony ebook readers.
The biggest innovation comes in the shape of a Wifi connection, and a built in portal which enables you to purchase books from compatible book stores directly from the ebook reader.
Although not as user friendly as the one click purchase offered by Amazon, the BeBook portal works well, and lets you actually buy books directly from your ebook retailer of choice (at the moment the retailers include: Foyles, Blackwell, Whsmith).
The bebook also has a limited web browser, which is handy if you find yourself needing to check something whilst at an internet café and a rather good stylus touchscreen provided by Wacom. This combination makes it a breeze to surf, and annotate ebooks.
This ebook reader also has a faster processor than most other ebook readers available today, and has quite a quick screen refresh rate – so no more waiting (too long) for pages to refresh.
Other than that, the BeBook Neo includes an external SD card slot so you can expand the 510mb of internal memory up to 4GB! This would be enough for a lifetime of reading.
In terms of price, the BeBook Neo is currently available at £229/$350. Its not the cheapest ebook reader in the marketplace, but makes up with the ability to use Wifi and load up virtually any ebook.

Others include monetary fraud and active wire tapping. Many of those who hack a system do this due to motivation by challenge to access information in a system not meant for them. In spite of the presence of the so called firewalls which play a major role in curbing stealing of data or its destruction, computer security is still not at its best. A lot needs to be done to curb the menace and control its spread.

Home Beer Making - How To Produce Your Own Hops For Place Beer Making
The beer manufacture has been estimated to be couturier $100 billion. Targeting this 1000000000 greenback mart comes with both the drawbacks and perquisites of brewing, both in the commercialised stroke body production comic and the habitation beer making business. In 2007, breweries across the Federate States veteran a distributed shortfall of vine. What hops are to beer is what drink beans are to chocolates. A duplicate whammy was in fund for European brewers because of the fact that they were also contrived by uttermost withstand conditions.
These sudden manufacture episodes gave way to a author efficacious appreciation - brewers growing their own vine. Since craftsmanship brewers mostly use author hops than whale breweries, the drifts on hop cultivation were writer so pragmatical and fecund for them. Beer moguls had the luxuriousness of having lock-in negotiations with farmers regardless of the availability of hops. This ostensibly pushed smaller manufacture players to offset the deficiency by opting for much self-reliant measures. Today, hop gardens are gradually burgeoning among Dweller homes, and are instantaneous decorous staples in every attainment brewer's estate.

Craft Beer
Craft Beer is an American term also common in Canada and New Zealand to refer to beer brewed without adjuncts such as rice or corn, for distinction and flavor rather than mass appeal.
Some define craft beer as beer made without rice or corn, but outside of North America and Asia, rice and corn are rarely used in the making of traditional beer. In Germany tradition dictate that only barley-malt, hops, and water were used in the making of beer. A similar law, the Isle of Man’s Pure Beer Act of 1874 is still in force and means that Manx brewers can use nothing more than water, malt, sugar and hops in their brews. There are those, however, that disagree with the notion that any such rules be applied to all beer “styles” and maintain that so-called “craft” beer can indeed contain other grains or adjunct sugars. To this end, it should be noted that a good many traditional British beers have, for more than a century, made use of these adjunct grains as well as kettle sugars of various types (molasses, treacle, and “brewers” sugar, sometimes called invert sugar) to enhance rather than lighten beers. The distinction is further complicated because, in the United States, many traditional European styles are produced almost exclusively by craft breweries.

7 Insurance Tricks That Cost You Money
Is there a way to get insurance against insurance? For some who have been victims of the scrupulous practices of some insurance companies, they probably wish they could purchase some protection against their insurance. Sadly, we often feel like we're at the mercy of the insurance giants, but there is a way to level the playing field: education. If you know their tricks, you know how to avoid them.
1. You May Not Need Collision Insurance
So you purchased an older model car. It's only worth $2,500 and is seven or more years old. As your car depreciates, it gets closer and closer to your deductible. Remember that the insurance company won't pay you any more than the value of your car, so if the value is the same or less than your deductible, you won't get any money. If you're driving an old car, consider not getting collision insurance. The minimum policy required by law is enough in your case. Don't count on your insurance agent to tell you, though.
2. If You Have a Car Loan, You Need Gap Insurance
After you got rid of that old car, you purchased a shiny new car complete with that brand new car smell that everybody loves. You took out a loan for $25,000 and drove home. Two weeks later your car was totaled and the insurance company offered to pay you $21,000 for the car. The bank is going to still want the $25,000 you owe, so you'll be on the hook for the other $4,000.
Without gap insurance, you have to pay it out of your pocket. If you have a loan for your car, you should also consider gap insurance.
3. Anti-Concurrent Language in Your Policy
You live in a coastal town and recently a major hurricane came through and caused major damage to your home, including tens of thousands of dollars in flood damage. Everything will be covered because you have hurricane insurance as part of your homeowner's policy, right? Wrong!
Your insurance company tells you that because of the anti-concurrent language in your policy, nothing is covered because flood damage isn't covered even though the damage was clearly caused by the hurricane. Adding insult to injury, they tell you that you should have read your policy. Does all of this sound confusing?
Make sure to ask your insurance agent about the anti-concurrent language in your policy and ask them to show it to you in the policy.

4. You'll Never Understand It, Anyway
Have you ever tried to read your insurance policy? Regardless of your level of education or your street smarts, these policies are written in an extremely complicated way, but this problem is quickly being solved. Legislation in more than half of the United States has been introduced or enacted in to law making insurance companies write their policies in plain English. Always ask for an explanation of the policy if you don't understand it. Do you have a phone that allows you to record? Turn the microphone on and record the insurance agent's explanation.
5. We Use Your Credit Score to Determine Your Rate
Had some troubles paying your bills? Bankruptcy? These may not seem like unreasonable items for your insurance company to look at if they're trusting you to make payments on your policy, but think of it another way: What if you believe in paying cash for everything and you have no credit? What if you're elderly and no longer make purchases requiring credit?
This practice assumes that having credit makes for a responsible person when in actuality, some people are so responsible that they don't need credit at all. When receiving a rate quote, ask the agent if they used your credit score as a metric to determine your rate.
6. We Get a Bonus If We Hassle You
According to a North Dakota Insurance Department report released in 2007, Farmers Insurance used to have an incentive program called "Quest for Gold" that rewarded adjusters with pizza parties and $25 gift cards if they met low payment goals. They weren't the only ones -- others rewarded adjusters with various gifts and pressured employees to meet low payment goals.
Before entering into negotiations with the insurance adjuster, know how much your car is worth, have a clear idea of the extent of your injuries and speak to an attorney if necessary. While not all insurance companies are going to act this way, they want to save money as much as you want to make money, so they will most likely not give you their best and fair offer without a little bit of negotiation on your part.
[The Most Stolen Vehicles in the U.S.]
7. We Consider It a Claim If You Call
A neighbor accidentally hit a baseball through your kitchen window, but you don't remember what your deductible is and you've never made a claim against your homeowner's insurance, so you call the company to collect some information. You tell them the situation and simply ask for information.
Your insurance company may view that as a claim and adjust rates accordingly and the call may go in into the CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report on your house, which is available to anybody with a financial interest in your home. That one phone call may make it difficult to get insurance for your home.
If you have a question about your policy and must call, make your question into a general question that you are asking to gain an understanding on your policy.
The Bottom Line
Not all insurance companies are out to get you, but like all types of businesses, there are honest and dishonest people and you have to protect yourself at all times.

Barcelona 3-1 Manchester United: Best Team In The World Wins
Barcelona, arguably the greatest football team in the history of the sport, created a magisterial performance Saturday night that made Manchester United, a world power in soccer, look like mere mortals. The Spanish side were deserved 3-1 winners against a United side that were simply outclassed in every position on the field.
The dominance by Barcelona was so one-sided that the game felt like watching a target practice at times. Pep Guardiola’s side controlled the possession, which wasn’t surprising, but they also seemed more hungry to win this game. They put on a football clinic on English soil to prove to the world how exemplary they are.
Manchester United’s first half performance was disguised by one piece of mastery from Wayne Rooney who scored a goal that Barcelona would have been proud of. The goal, which should have been disallowed because Giggs was offside, was the only shot on target by United in the first half. Throughout the rest of the half, United failed to hold possession and consistently lost the ball either by poor passing, wayward goal kicks by Edwin van der Sar or just sheer incompetence.
The three goals that were scored by Barcelona were due to a combination of brilliance from Barcelona and defensive lapses by United. The first goal by Pedro was well taken but Nemanja Vidic gave the striker too much space. Barcelona’s second goal by Lionel Messi was made too easy after Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic gave the Argentine too much time and space on the goal to rocket a shot toward goal. Barcelona’s third goal was the result of a weak clearance by Michael Carrick. The ball then found its way to David Villa who picked his spot and chipped in a delightful goal.
The defensive lapses by United were unfortunate given that it’s been one of the best attributes of the Red Devils this season.
This was a frustrating performance by Manchester United. We know that the players have the skill to put on a better performance than this, but they lacked a leader at Wembley who could step up and lift the team. The closest to that was Wayne Rooney who tried to make a difference, but when it’s one man against eleven, it’s an impossible task.
Overall, the biggest difference in this match was Manchester United’s incapability of playing football. When they got the ball, they either lost it or failed to create enough chances for their forwards to take a shot at goal. Javier Hernandez was practically invisible. The addition of Nani failed to create much other than a tame shot. Park Ji-Sung, while defensively sound, was unable to create the golden chances that a club needs to try to win a match. They need new creative midfielders to help their forwards.
Nevertheless, congratulations to Barcelona on a well-deserved victory. In the battle between the best team in the world versus the best manager in the world, the best team won. For United, it’s back to the drawing board.

Verizon Gets a Windows Phone; Huge Handset to Follow?
Windows Phone 7 is finally getting some love from the United States' largest wireless carrier.
HTC's Trophy, a new Windows Phone, lands on Verizon Wireless on May 26, for $150 with a two-year agreement. If you buy a Trophy before July 15, Microsoft and Verizon will sweeten the deal with your choice of Halo: Reach, Kinect Sports or Lode Runner for Xbox 360.
The Trophy itself doesn't have any standout features besides SRS WOW HD speakers, which claim to provide virtual surround sound. Otherwise, it's a simple slab with a 3.8-inch screen, 1 GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera and 8 GB of internal storage. The Trophy runs on Verizon's 3G network and doesn't support 4G LTE.
In fact, most Windows Phones have fairly ordinary specs, which isn't necessarily a bad thing (although more than 8 GB or 16 GB for storage would be nice). But rumors suggest that some more distinct WinPho handsets are on the way.
For instance, HTC's Eternity will reportedly have a 4.7-inch screen, WMPowerUser reports. That'd be the biggest smartphone on the U.S. market unless you count Dell's Streak, a 5-inch device that's technically a tablet. I can only imagine the joy of playing Xbox Live games on a phone with a 4.7-inch screen, though it pains me to think of how it would feel in a pants pocket. HTC is also reportedly planning a Windows Phone called the Omega, which will have a 3.8-inch screen like the Trophy and an 8-megapixel camera.
Both rumored phones will run Windows 7.5, or "Mango," according to WMPowerUser's report. The OS update will add turn-by-turn directions, multitasking for third-party apps, HTML5 support and Twitter integration, among other features, and is coming this fall.
Microsoft's finally filling in the missing pieces on its smartphone platform, and support from Verizon will be a big boost. Now, Microsoft just needs consumers to take notice. I hope the company saved some of its $500 million marketing budget.

Microsoft Blames Intel about Windows 8
Microsoft launched a criticism against Intel with the accused had leaked false information about the latest operating system that will be released.
At a conference in Santa Clara, California, United States (U.S.), one Intel executive Renee James claims to have at least four versions of the Windows OS-based devices 8 for SoC (System on Chip), ARM.
Renee also mentioned, the version of ‘friendly’ ARM for Windows 8 will not be able to run the program ‘legacy’ which is coded for Windows 7, Vista and XP.
Reported by TG Daily and quoted on Friday (05/20/2011), a spokesman for Microsoft then denied the claim and said the information conveyed Intel factually inaccurate.
“Intel’s statement at a meeting of investors about Microsoft’s plans for a new version of Windows is very inaccurate and wrong,”the clarification of the company, based in Redmond, Washington, U.S..
Mentioned Microsoft, since the initial demonstration by the OS with SoC devices, they have very clearly show the purpose and emphasize that his company is still in the stage of technology demonstration.
“So, we have no details or further information at this time,”stated Microsoft.

Osama bin Laden's son says U.S. broke international law 'if' his father is dead
Osama bin Laden's son Omar says he always disagreed with his father about violence, and is now disagreeing with the violence purportedly used against his father.
In a statement written by the Bin Laden family but signed only by Omar, 30, the United States is accused of breaking international law by killing the unarmed terrorist leader without a trial. That is, they said, if the mission was indeed successful.
Omar bin Laden began the statement by saying that he and the family do not believe that the Al Qaeda leader is dead and, like the so-called deathers in this country, want to see photographs and/or video evidence as proof.
"We are not convinced on the available evidence in the absence of dead body, photographs, and video evidence that our natural father is dead," Omar bin Laden wrote in a statement that was released to the New York Times. "Therefore, with this press statement, we seek such conclusive evidence to believe the stories published in relation to 2 May 2011 operation Geronimo as declared by the President of United States Barrack Hussein Obamain his speech that he authorized the said operation and killing of OBL and later confirmed his death."
If his father were "executed," Omar said, he wonders why people such as Saddam Hussein andSlobodan Milosevic were given a chance in front of a judge while his father "was not arrested and tried in a court of law."
In the statement, Omar bin Laden identified himself as "the fourth-born son of our father," and said he "always disagreed with our father regarding any violence and always sent messages to our father, that he must change his ways and that no civilians should be attacked under any circumstances."
When it was announced earlier this month that the elder Bin Laden was dead, U.S. Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. maintained that the mission was indeed legal.
"Let me make something very clear," Holder said. "The operation in which Osama bin Laden was killed was lawful. He was the head of Al Qaeda, an organization that conducted the attacks of September the 11th [2001]. He admitted his involvement."
Boston Bruins are battle-hardened
Are the Boston Bruins on the verge of their first Stanley Cup since the days of Bobby Orr?
After a tough first-round series against Montreal and some redemption in Round 2 against Philadelphia, the Bruins are healthy and rested - not to mention, talented and deep - as they get ready to face Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference final.
It is a match-up that should favour Boston, as the Bruins boast a variety of weapons such as three scoring lines, omnipresent Zdeno Chara and Tim Thomas's netminding. Then again, the Lightning were the underdogs against Pittsburgh and Washington, too, and rallied from a 3-1 series deficit to beat the Penguins and then swept the mighty Capitals.
Boston, however, have a few things going for them that the Pens and Caps did not. With the exception of Patrice Bergeron, the centre who is expected to miss one or two games with a "mild" concussion, the Bruins are about as injury-free as it gets after two rounds of the NHL play-offs.
Pittsburgh played without leading men Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Also, the Bruins have tasted play-off disappointment in recent seasons, highlighted by last year's collapse against the Flyers (the Bruins had a 3-0 series lead and then a 3-0 lead in Game 7, only to lose).
Suffice to say, the Bruins will be motivated to close out a series any time they get the chance.
The Lightning have their share of star forwards in Martin St Louis, Steven Stamkos and Vincent Lecavalier, while Dwayne Roloson has been stellar in the net.
The defence, and the team's overall depth, is years ahead of where it was a couple of seasons ago. Their coach Guy Boucher's transitional style of play has been a big success, and Steve Yzerman, the general manager, is the stabilising force the franchise needed. It would be foolish to underestimate the Bolts after their seven consecutive play-off wins.
But the Bruins are more play-off tested, more bonded by the ups and downs of the past few years.
As a team, they have been through some battles together.
Perhaps history is on Boston's side, too. Last season, it was the Original Six's Chicago claiming their first cup in 49 years. So this time around, why not the Original Six's Boston Bruins claiming their first cup in 39 years? It has a certain symmetry to it, at least.
