Asus Challenge IT activists Build Digital City


Taiwanese computer vendor, Asus, wants to test the strategic thinking of the instigators of IT through a contest called the Digital Town (Digitown). The concept revolves around the simulation of a digital city in the world of online and using 8 unique technology from Asus.
Eight technology is available on the latest motherboards and Asus series P8Z68 P8P67. Participants can determine the order of application of these technologies and create their own digital cities, with different development paths.
In a statement on Sunday (05/08/2011), Asus said that the analogy of the contest is that while developing the best motherboard in the world like designing a city, which requires thinking into the future, careful calculation and prioritize the benefits for residents (or motherboard users ) and the common good.
Asus Technology is the focus on this contest including DIGI + VRM, a new standard in digital power distribution for the PC. DIGI + VRM which is at the heart of the latest Asus motherboards offer the power of precision, as well as increased reliability and better overclocking opportunities.
In the game Digiton, this innovation DIGI + VRM is represented as the center of town made by the participants, who directs the development of technology and increased efficiency.
Also available chip TPU (Turbo Processing Unit) for overclocking and EPU (Energy Processing Unit) to optimize power consumption, as well as UEFI BIOS with graphical user interface and control using a mouse.
Participants can choose the order of use these features while playing to produce a virtual city Digiton unique. So the contest is not just a competition, but also learning that explain how PC technology with an entertaining and easy to digest.
Participants in the whole world to follow this game and try to create the best virtual city. The contest is scheduled to take place from May 2 until July 1, 2011. For details refer to the Asus site
